Sarah Ross and her team volunteered their time and services to revamp the new facility of Sharing the Harvest food pantry, helping to create a more welcoming space for the community.
MARBLE FALLS, Texas, Nov. 8, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Fresh Coat Painters of Marble Falls is continuing to make a positive impact in the community, this time through its participation in the Fresh Coat Cares initiative. Fresh Coat Painters, the 170-plus painting franchise, partners with Sherwin Williams to support local franchisees in donating both supplies and labor to meaningful projects in their communities.
Owner Sarah Ross, who has consistently given back to the community over her nearly 12 years of ownership, recently completed a Fresh Coat Cares project, repainting a new building for local nonprofit, Sharing the Harvest.
"Sharing the Harvest is a food pantry in our community. The building they previously occupied was pretty small, so the team was restricted to drive-thru pickups," Ross said. "Recently, they were donated a larger building, but the ceiling and some of the walls were dark and uninviting. Someone at Sharing the Harvest reached out to me about potentially lightening up the space, and I was excited to help."

Ross, who has consistently volunteered with multiple area food banks over the years, explained that taking this project on would breathe new life into the building and organization.
"Sharing the Harvest has always been very impactful in the Kingsland community. There are families who would not have food on the table without their help," she said. "But now, with the opportunity to expand, they have increased storage space to accept additional donations, and there is space for people who want to come inside for pickups."
Having the larger, more welcoming space also opens up opportunities for Sharing the Harvest to further expand its services. Ross noted that, now that there is room to gather, it's possible community members will be able to come together in the shared space over a hot meal.
A new, brighter building to welcome families in need
"This project gives them the opportunity to support even more families in new, bigger ways," she said. "It's amazing to see how much more they'll be able to do."
