In June 2024, Congressman David Valadao (R-CA) introduced the Safeguarding Our Supply Chains Act with support from the American Trucking Associations (ATA). This bill proposes the creation of a Supply Chain Fraud and Theft Task Force led by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in collaboration with the FBI and the U.S. Attorney General.
