Main Street Duncan merchants are making the final preparations for the much-anticipated Holiday Stroll on Saturday, November 16th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
DUNCAN, Okla., Nov. 8, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This festive tradition is a beloved event for both local business owners and visitors; bringing together families, friends, and out-of-town guests to celebrate the season in downtown Duncan.
Shoppers can look forward to an evening of special discounts, giveaways, and a wide selection of new merchandise available at participating stores along Main Street. In addition to local retailers, a variety of vendors and non-profit organizations will be setting up booths to sell unique goods and share information with attendees. The event will stretch from 10th to 7th Street on Main and include The Duncan Towers on 9th Street.
This year's Holiday Stroll will feature carolers and a special appearance by Santa Claus. Adding to the excitement, Main Street Duncan will be hosting a Window Design Contest where businesses decorate their storefronts for the season. Visitors to Main Street can vote for their favorite window display during the Holiday Stroll, by going to the Main Street Duncan Facebook page. Voting will continue through December 1st, and the winning merchant will be announced at the Duncan Christmas Parade, sponsored by Model 1, on December 7th.
Brandi Johnson, Executive Director of Main Street Duncan, encourages the community to take part in the fun. "We're excited to showcase the creativity and holiday spirit of our local merchants," Johnson said. "We hope everyone will come out to support our local, small businesses this season."
