(Chicago – October 24, 2024) – Nationally known author, TEDx speaker and 3M Chief Science Advocate Jayshree Seth, Ph.D. was in Chicago today sharing life lessons from her new book with fellow engineers at the Society of Women Engineers Annual Meeting.
The book, "The Heart of the Science: Engineering Blueprint," covers a wide range of STEM-related topics in four main sections and is the last in the SWE published trilogy with Seth, which includes "The Heart of Science: Engineering Fine Print," and "The Heart of Science: Engineering Footprints and Imprints." The book provides guidance to those in STEM or those considering a career in STEM.
The interactive format of the book provides an immersive experience for the reader with each chapter addressing practical topics, real-life application of the topic from Seth's career, infographics providing a visual representation of the chapter, and a workbook for the reader to apply the lessons learned in their life. The book serves as the reader's personal mentoring session with Seth.
In her introduction to her latest book, Seth sets forth her intention for readers.

The scholarship has awarded $29,000 to five individuals since its inception in 2021.
